About Us
American Legion Post 754 is resident at the New York Athletic Club in New York, NY. The American Legion was founded in 1919 by the veterans of World War I and chartered by Congress as a patriotic veteran organization devoted to mutual helpfulness.
Our Post was founded by returning service members of World War I and received its charter from the American Legion in November 1919. The Post has been active since its founding and counts many prominent veterans among its membership, both past and present.
As an organization devoted to mutual helpfulness, the Post has been dedicated to helping veterans transition from military service back to civilian life. Today's veterans have served their country well and faithfully but when the day comes to put aside the uniform, not all are prepared for what awaits.
Through a variety of approaches, our Post is dedicated to helping veterans find gainful, fulfilling employment in the New York area. Our members work in a variety of fields to include financial services, insurance, media and entertainment, technology, start ups and many more.
If you are a transitioning veteran, please contact us at transition@alpost754.org. We can help you achieve your goals.
